Come to Colomba London for an evening of somatic meditation, poetry and chanting!
I'm taking up a residency at Colomba, a studio in Camden and will be there every Monday evening in January, so please consider coming down and sitting together. The idea behind Beetle Bruised Heart came from considering all the ways in which our hearts can get bruised and battered through the seasons of our life, but we keep rising and crawling back out from under the pain of living in the everyday. We are damn resilient. And we deserve to heal from that as much as we are able and willing to, and to work on opening our hearts even with the prospect of them getting bruised. Each week we'll explore different meditations from both the Bhakti and Tantra tradition, some breathwork, mantra and poetry that you can take with you to practice at home.
Winter is a time where we're pulled to ground down and really work with the energy of hibernation and do nourishing activities for our bodies and minds - and to rest. I always find that I'm more able to get really into my yoga practice during the winter months or spend evenings doing something that feels like it's feeding a need within me that I don't get in the Spring and Summer months where I just want to be out and about and in the streets. It's a sweet time in which we can do some really deep work. We just had a new moon and solar eclipse over the weekend, so it's a really good time to get into things that feel like they feed parts of ourselves that need healing. It will be a sweet evening with poetry, some led meditation and do some chanting. Nothing would make me happier than to see you!
