Nurturing the Creative Self, A PROVENCE RETREAT, 13-17 June, 2023
Welcome to Nurturing the Creative Self: A Movement, Writing and Meditation Retreat in Provence
13-17 June, 2023
Join us for a transformative 5-day retreat in Lourmarin to work with your creative self and deepen your spiritual practice. Creativity doesn’t have to be complicated, and your spiritual practice should be fun.
Are you feeling burnt out and in need of a mental and creative refresh?
Do you long for a creative community?
Are you looking for some time to spend in the company of others working on your art and creative and spiritual practices?
Are you longing to work on a project but haven’t found the time and space to think about what that could be, and need some time and space to put all your thoughts?
If you find yourself nodding your head silently at your desk in answer to any of these questions, come with us this summer to unwind, recharge and reignite your creative inspiration. You don’t need to be an artist or a creative to come (but that’s cool too!), you just need to have a desire to connect into your creativity in community.
We’ll spend our time together in the stunning natural surroundings of Provence and you’ll have the chance to slow down and explore your creative and spiritual side through meditation, movement and writing workshops. This retreat is designed to help you tap into your inner creativity through community, movement and spiritual connection. Much of the time, all you need to help your inspiration come back online is some time spent in contemplation with like-minded people who get it. We’ll seek to help you click back into it through daily meditation and movement sessions, creative workshops, and excursions to explore the breathtaking French countryside.
The Location
Our retreat will take place in the heart of the Luberon, one of France's most beautiful regions. We will stay in a charming villa surrounded by lush gardens and rolling hills, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. This idyllic location will allow you to fully unwind and connect with nature while providing the perfect setting for your creative and spiritual practices. Nestled into the base of the Luberon, you’ll have backdoor access to some of the region’s best walks and only 5 minutes to the village of Lourmarin.

The Practices
We will be practicing daily meditation together as an essential part of this retreat. You will learn techniques to tap into your creativity, focus your attention, and connect with your inner self. Whether you are new to meditation or an experienced practitioner, this retreat will help you deepen your practice and experience its benefit on your sense of freedom and creative inspiration.
Together we will explore different forms of movement, such as yoga, dance, and guided hikes, to connect with your body, awaken your senses and connect with your inner creative fire. These practices will help you release tension you may be holding, increase inner and outer strength, and enhance your overall well-being. You will also have an opportunity to experiment with your own unique movements, expressing your creativity and self-expression.
Creative expression is at the heart of this retreat. You will have time and space to explore your inner world and express your unique creativity through art, writing, and other forms of self-expression. Whether you are an experienced artist or a beginner, you will find inspiration and guidance to tap into your creative potential and develop your skills. You will also learn how to use your creativity as a tool for personal growth, self-discovery and trauma healing.

YOUR FACILITATORS 〰️
Nora Logan
Nora Logan is a writer, meditation teacher, podcaster and health coach. She is passionate about the incredible power that the combination of movement, breath and food has to heal. She has spent years obsessed with the most replenishing and gentle ways to nourish herself and heal from her own medical conditions. A lifelong yoga practitioner, Nora had to stop everything in 2015 due to a serious illness and subsequent liver transplant. It was a deeply humbling lesson in trauma, grief and healing and has led her to becoming a healer herself. She has since created a breathwork, movement and food as medicine practice as a way to support others.
In her breathwork and meditation practice, Nora works to empower people to heal themselves, be more present in their bodies and release stuck and stagnant energy. Nora also works with people as a health coach to explore their bio-individuality (meaning that each person has their own unique way of eating that suits them best) to empower them to make the right choices for themselves.
Ava Riby Williams
Ava is a Creative Facilitator, movement Teacher and artist. Her work focuses on using creativity to connect, and guiding groups into deeper contemplation about issues concerning their liberation and wellbeing- on personal and collective levels. As a guide, Ava is clear that the point of her work is to encourage students to become their own inner teachers: she does this with with young people and adults.
Ava is passionate about creating safe and inclusive spaces for self-exploration, expression and acceptance. She's driven by the importance of making healing practices accessible to isolated and marginalised communities, as a tool to unwind trauma. Ava honours the unwinding of oppressive structures and cycles as a part of awakening. Creating channelled music and joining voices in song is also part of her spiritual practise.
With over 10 years of Yoga, creative practise, facilitation and performance experience, her teaching is often woven with song, poetry and play as a way to deepen our capacity to Love and experience life.
